Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between :

We are open from March to November, from 8am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6:30pm.
The customer of LES VALISES DE ST JACQUES
The customer's request for a quotation and/or reservation implies acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale in their entirety.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall prevail over any other conditions appearing in any other document, except in the event of prior, express and written derogation.
Reservation
The services offered by VSJ are by reservation only. Requesting a quote does not constitute a reservation.
The services offered by VSJ can be booked at our office, by e-mail, by telephone or via the online booking system on our website www.lesvalisesdesaintjacques.com.
Reservations must be requested by the customer and confirmed by our teams by telephone or e-mail.
Reservations will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
Payment must be made no later than 8 calendar days before the start of the service. Any service not paid within this period will be considered as not confirmed by the customer. In the event of booking via our website, a confirmation e-mail will be systematically sent by our teams.
If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail at least 24 hours before your departure, your reservation request will not be confirmed. In this case, please contact our team directly by telephone.
No reservations will be taken into account by telephone message.
The services provided by VSJ are subject to the availability of vehicles and drivers on the day of payment of the reservation.

Services
Insurance - applicable regulations
For its activities, VSJ has taken out insurance covering its professional civil liability with ASSURANCES...MMA 3 place des capucins...32110 NOGARO.
Les VSJ operates a regulated freight and passenger transport business. It is listed in the register of goods and passenger transporters kept by the Prefect of the GERS department and managed by the DREAL, and holds the necessary licenses for its activity. Les VSJ reserves the right to subcontract its services to selected professionals. In the event of subcontracting, you will be informed and we will inform you of the name of the subcontractor concerned. Les VSJ will remain your contact.
The services offered by VSJ are those listed below to the exclusion of all other services. The customer remains solely responsible for booking accommodation.
Passenger transport service
The VSJ passenger transport service allows you to :
- return to your starting point at the end of the route
- be transported to your next stop in the event of fatigue, injury or other problems
Booking with our teams allows you to reserve the date, time and place of your pick-up by the driver, as well as the time and place of your drop-off. The times will be confirmed when our team confirms your reservation.
In order to offer you the best possible service, it is imperative that you specify the number of pieces of luggage (or bicycles, if applicable) to be transported when booking. Luggage remains under the care and responsibility of the persons being transported.
VSJ's personal transport service can also transport your dog.
To determine the conditions of this service, please contact our team directly by telephone or e-mail. In order to offer you the best service, it is imperative to specify the presence of the dog to be transported when booking. When transporting a dog, the animal remains under the sole care and responsibility of the person it is accompanying.
Baggage transport service
The VSJ luggage transport service consists of picking up your luggage at the agreed location and transporting it during the day to your sleeping area or any other agreed location. The service can be repeated every day from stage to stage until the end of your journey, within the limits of the areas served by VSJ.
Booking with our teams or on the VSJ website allows you to reserve the date and place where your luggage will be picked up by our services, as well as the drop-off location. When booking, you must specify the number of baggage items to be transported.
The customer undertakes to inform those in charge of the pick-up or drop-off location that his/her baggage will be picked up or dropped off by VSJ.
The luggage can be a soft suitcase, a sports bag or a backpack. We do not insure rigid suitcases against damage.
Luggage must have a maximum weight of 13kg, be in good condition, closed and in a single volume, no "xxl" suitcases.
Any additional bag or equipment is considered as extra luggage and will be charged as such.
In the event of excess weight, VSJ will ask the customer to make the necessary arrangements to comply with the 13kg limit. This may involve transporting an additional piece of baggage at the same rate as your first piece of baggage.
The luggage to be transported must be made available to our services at 8:00 am in the luggage room of your accommodation or any other place provided by the accommodation. It will be delivered to the accommodation you have indicated before 6 pm. If you are absent, it will be left in your accommodation's luggage room or in any other place reserved for this purpose by the accommodation.
The baggage to be transported must be clearly identified on a blank sheet of paper bearing the following information:
- Mention: LES VALISES DE SAINT JACQUES
- Your first and last name
- Your cell phone number
- Number of bags to carry (especially if you're in a group)
Or by means of our duly completed labels, available in the accommodation or downloadable from the website.
Any luggage not clearly identified will not be transported and the customer will remain responsible for his luggage.
VSJ is responsible for the luggage during transport. The customer remains responsible for his/her luggage, particularly in the event of theft or damage at the accommodation, pick-up or drop-off location, and especially in the luggage room at this location (pick-up or drop-off).
The customer undertakes to ensure that his or her baggage does not contain any valuables (over €50), fragile objects or medicines.
If your baggage contains valuable or particularly fragile items, please notify our staff before transportation so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
The VSJ luggage transport service can also be used to transport bike(s) on the route. Reservations for bike transport must be made expressly with our teams or on the website.
The vehicle courier service
The vehicle convoying service is available on the roads to Santiago de Compostela.
The VSJ vehicle transfer service involves picking up your vehicle at the starting point of your journey and driving it to your destination.
The conclusion of the contract and the finalization of the escort service order are subject to the prior signature of the "vehicle escort service contract" and the inventory of the vehicle on the day the keys are handed over.
The VSJ online booking site allows you to reserve the date and location of your vehicle pick-up, as well as the final date and location of your vehicle drop-off.
The vehicle to be transported must be covered by a valid "all drivers" insurance policy. The customer remains solely responsible for theft or any other damage that may affect the Vehicle and any goods it contains, particularly when the Vehicle is parked in private or public parking areas.

Rates
All our prices are available in each of our service sheets and on quotation for our customized services.
Prices are given in Euros.
The prices shown include VAT at the rate set by the regulations in force, fuel for transport services only and the necessary insurance.
The total price indicated in the booking summary is the definitive price, unless there is a new element on the day of the service: additional baggage, overweight baggage, baggage requiring special handling or care. This price includes the total price for the service(s) booked, with details of each service.
VSJ reserves the right to change its prices at any time, with the exception of prices for services already booked.

Payment methods
The following methods of payment are accepted: Cash, cheques, bank transfers, credit cards (Visa and Master Card).
Services must be paid for no later than 8 calendar days before the start of the service. No service is definitively reserved until payment has been received. In the absence of payment 10 calendar days before the start of the requested service, a reminder e-mail will be sent to you. Payment for the service must be made within 48 hours of this e-mail.
Any request for service not paid within this period will be considered as not confirmed by the customer and cancelled.
In the case of payment by credit card or bank transfer, the reservation is only considered confirmed once the payment or transfer has been accepted and confirmed by VSJ.
In the case of payment by cheque, the reservation is only considered confirmed once the cheque has been cashed by VSJ and the reservation has been confirmed by VSJ.
The customer must mail or hand in the cheque to LES VALISES DE ST JACQUES 6, bd St Blancat 32800 EAUZE. Cheques should be made payable to LES VALISES DE ST JACQUES.
VSJ reserves the right to refuse or cancel any new booking from a customer with whom a dispute exists.

Cancellation policy and costs - Right of withdrawal
The customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from payment of the service to exercise his right of withdrawal, unless the service has been fully executed before the end of the withdrawal period and the customer has expressly waived his right of withdrawal prior to execution of the service. If the entire service is not carried out, the customer shall pay the professional an amount corresponding to the service provided until he has communicated his decision to withdraw.
Without prejudice to the withdrawal period where applicable, any reservation may be cancelled by e-mail or telephone, without justification by the customer under the following conditions:
- At least 48 hours before the performance: no compensation
- 24 hours before the service is due to be performed: the customer pays VSJ 50% of the price of the service ordered.
- Less than 24 hours before the service is due to be performed: the customer pays VSJ 100% of the price of the service ordered.
In accordance with the above cancellation conditions, any refunds will be made by the same method of payment used by the customer, unless the customer agrees to any other method. The customer will provide VSJ with all data required for the service.
For all refunds, a fee of €20 will be deducted from the customer's account.
All reservations may be cancelled without justification by our services under the following conditions:
- At least 48 hours before the service is due to be rendered: all sums received will be returned without compensation.
- 24 hours before the service is due to be rendered: refund of sums received and compensation due to the customer equivalent to 50% of the price of the service ordered
- Less than 24 hours before the service is due to be provided: all sums received will be returned and the customer will be entitled to compensation equivalent to 100% of the price of the service ordered.
A modification of the service by VSJ in order to respond to the customer's request will not be considered as a cancellation of the service.

Force majeure
VSJ cannot be held responsible, or considered to have failed in its obligations, for any delay or non-performance when the cause of the delay or non-performance results from a case of force majeure as defined by the case law of the French courts. In addition, and for the purposes of this contract, the inability of the Service Provider to perform due to bad weather, strikes, roadworks, traffic density and road accidents, and all events beyond the reasonable control of VSJ, will be considered as Force Majeure.
In the event of force majeure, VSJ will inform the customer as soon as possible and will make every effort to meet its obligations, but they may be delayed or cancelled without compensation.

Applicable law - language of the contract
These terms and conditions are written in French. They are subject to French law. The fact that VSJ or the customer does not avail itself at a given time of any of the clauses herein shall not constitute a waiver of the right to avail itself of the same clauses at a later date.

Personal data protection
The personal data collected from the customer is necessary for the performance of the service and the preparation of the corresponding invoice.
The customer's personal data are collected via the website or directly from our services and are likely to be subject to computer processing intended for :
- Carry out customer management operations relating to: service provision; invoicing; accounting and, in particular, customer account management
- To compile commercial statistics and/or to enable the development of the content of our services
- Monitoring customer relations and status, conducting satisfaction surveys, managing complaints and any subsequent queries from customers.
- Handling requests relating to your rights concerning the processing of your personal data
- Managing unpaid bills and disputes
- Managing people's opinions on the services offered
The personal information collected is necessary to process your requests.
The recipient of the data is VSJ and its subcontractors for the execution of a service (cab, transport service...) This subcontractor is indicated to the customer when booking the service concerned. Data is kept only as long as is necessary for the operations for which it was collected, and in compliance with regulations. In this respect, customer data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship plus five (5) years, without prejudice to retention obligations or limitation periods.
The requirement to provide your data is purely contractual in nature and conditions the performance of the service. The customer may object, free of charge and without justification, to the processing of data concerning him or her. This objection, as well as failure to provide mandatory information (marked with an asterisk* on the collection form), may make it impossible to process the customer's requests. Data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling. In the event of a complaint concerning the processing of your data, you may contact the competent supervisory authority.
