The present General Conditions of Sale govern the contractual relations between :

We can welcome you from March to November, from 8am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6:30pm.
The customer of the company LES VALISES DE ST JACQUES
The request for a quote and/or reservation by the customer implies acceptance of the entirety of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall prevail over any other terms and conditions contained in any other document, unless previously waived, expressly and in writing.
The services offered by VSJs are by reservation only. Requesting a quote does not constitute a reservation.
The services offered by VSJ can be booked at our office, by email, by phone or through the online booking system on our website www.lesvalisesdesaintjacques.com
The reservation must be requested by the client and confirmed by our team by phone or email.
The reservation will be confirmed only after payment of the service.
The payment of the service must be made at the latest 8 calendar days before the beginning of the service. Any service not paid within this period will be considered as not confirmed by the customer. In case of reservation via our website, a confirmation email will be systematically sent by our teams.
If you do not receive the confirmation email at least 24 hours before your departure, your reservation request will not be confirmed. In this case, we invite you to contact our teams directly by phone.
No reservation will be taken into account by telephone message.
The services provided by VSJs are offered within the limits of the transport vehicles and drivers available on the day of payment of the reservation.

Insurance - applicable regulations
For its activities, the VSJ has subscribed an insurance covering its professional civil liability with the ASSURANCES...MMA 3 place des capucins...32110 NOGARO.
The VSJ company carries out a regulated activity of transport of goods and passengers. It is registered on the register of transporters of passengers and goods held by the prefect of the department of GERS and managed by the DREAL, and holds the necessary licenses for its activity. For the realization of the proposed services, VSJ reserves the right to subcontract the service to selected professionals. In case of subcontracting, you will be informed and we will communicate the name of the subcontractor concerned. The VSJ will remain your contact.
The services offered by VSJ are those listed below to the exclusion of all other services. The client remains solely responsible for his or her accommodation reservation.
The passenger transport service
The VSJ passenger transportation service allows you to:
- return to your starting point at the end of your journey
- to be transported to your next stop in case of fatigue or injury or other
Booking with our teams allows you to reserve the date, time and place of your pick-up by the driver, as well as the time and place of drop-off. The times will be confirmed upon confirmation of your reservation by our teams.
In order to offer you the best service, it is imperative to specify the number of luggage (or bicycles if applicable) that will also be transported when making the reservation. In the presence of luggage, it remains in the custody and responsibility of the persons transported.
VSJ's personal transportation service also allows for the transportation of your dog.
In order to determine the conditions of this transportation, we invite you to contact our teams directly by phone or by email. In order to offer you the best service, it is imperative that you specify the presence of the dog to be transported when making your reservation. For all dog transportation, the animal remains under the sole custody and responsibility of the person being transported.
Luggage transport service
The VSJ luggage transport service consists in taking your luggage from the place agreed upon and transporting it during the day to your sleeping place or to any other place agreed upon. The service can be repeated every day from stage to stage until the end of your journey, within the limits of the areas served by VSJ.
By making a reservation with our team or on the VSJ website, you can reserve the date and place where your luggage will be picked up by our services, as well as the drop-off location. When booking, it is imperative to specify the number of luggage to be transported.
The customer agrees to inform the persons in charge of the place where the baggage is to be picked up or dropped off that it will be picked up or dropped off by VSJ.
The luggage can be either a suitcase, a sports bag or a backpack.
The luggage must have a maximum weight of 14kg, be in good condition, closed and in one volume, no "xxl" suitcase
Any additional bag or equipment is considered as extra luggage and will be charged as such.
In case of overweight, VSJ will ask the customer to do what is necessary to respect the 14kg limit. This may involve the transportation of an additional baggage item at the same rate as the one you were given for your first baggage item.
The luggage to be transported must be made available to our services at 8:00 am in the luggage room of your accommodation or any other place provided by the accommodation. It will be delivered to the place of accommodation indicated by you before 6 pm. In case of absence, it will be deposited in the luggage room of the accommodation or in any other place reserved for this purpose by the accommodation.
The baggage to be transported must be clearly identified by means of a blank piece of paper bearing the following information:
- Mention : LES VALISES DE SAINT JACQUES
- Your name and surname
- Your cell phone number
- The number of bags to carry (if you are in a group)
Or by means of our labels duly completed available in the accommodations or downloadable on the site.
Any luggage not clearly identified will not be transported and the customer will remain responsible for his luggage.
VSJ is responsible for the luggage during transportation. The customer remains responsible for his luggage, especially in case of theft or damage at the place of accommodation, the place of pick-up or drop-off, and especially in the luggage room of this place (pick-up or drop-off).
The customer agrees that his luggage does not contain valuable objects (over 50 €), fragile objects or medicines.
In case of luggage containing valuable or particularly fragile objects, we invite you to declare it to our teams before the transport so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
The VSJ luggage transport service also allows the transport of bicycle(s) on the route. The reservation of the transport of bicycle(s) must be expressly mentioned to our teams or on the website.
The service of convoying vehicles
The vehicle transfer service is available on the roads to Santiago de Compostela.
VSJ's vehicle delivery service consists of picking up your vehicle at the starting point of your trip and driving it to your arrival point.
The conclusion of the contract and the finalization of the order for the delivery service are subject to the prior signature of the "vehicle delivery service contract" and the inventory of the vehicle on the day the keys are handed over.
The VSJ online reservation site allows you to reserve the date and location of your vehicle pick-up as well as the final date and location of your vehicle drop-off.
The vehicle to be transported must be covered by a valid insurance policy for "all drivers". The customer remains solely responsible for theft or any other damage that may affect the Vehicle and any goods it contains, particularly when the Vehicle is parked in private or public parking areas.
All of our prices are available in each of the service sheets and on estimate for our personalized services.
The prices are expressed in Euros.
The prices indicated include VAT at the rate fixed by the regulations in force, fuel for transport services only and the necessary insurance.
The total price indicated in the reservation summary is the final price, except for new elements on the day of the service: additional luggage, overweight luggage, luggage requiring special handling or care. This price includes the total price for the service(s) booked with details of each service.
VSJ reserves the right to change its rates at any time, excluding rates for services already booked.
Means and terms of payment
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, checks, bank transfers, credit cards (Visa and Master Card).
The services are payable at the latest 8 calendar days before the beginning of the service. No service is definitively booked before payment. In the absence of payment 10 calendar days before the beginning of the service requested, a reminder email will be sent. The payment of the service will have to intervene in the 48 hours of this email.
Any request for service not paid within these deadlines will be considered as not confirmed by the customer and cancelled.
In the case of payment by credit card or bank transfer, the reservation is considered confirmed only after the acceptance of the payment or the transfer and the confirmation of the reservation by VSJ.
In the case of a payment by check, the reservation is considered as confirmed only after the check has been cashed by the VSJ and the reservation has been confirmed by the VSJ.
The customer must mail or deliver his check to the address : LES VALISES DE ST JACQUES 6, bd St Blancat 32800 EAUZE. The check should be made out to LES VALISES DE ST JACQUES
VSJ reserves the right to refuse or cancel any new reservation from a customer with whom a dispute exists.
Cancellation Policy and Fees - Right of Withdrawal
The customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from the payment of the service to exercise his right of withdrawal unless the service has been fully executed before the end of the withdrawal period and the customer has, prior to the execution of the service, expressly waived his right of withdrawal. If the entire service is not performed, the customer pays the professional an amount corresponding to the service provided until the communication of his decision to withdraw.
Without prejudice to the withdrawal period when applicable, any reservation can be cancelled by e-mail or telephone, without justification by the customer under the following conditions:
- At least 48 hours before the performance: no compensation
- 24 hours before the performance of the service: compensation due by the client to VSJ for 50% of the price of the service ordered
- Less than 24 hours before the service is due to be performed: compensation due by the client to VSJ for 100% of the price of the service ordered
According to the cancellation conditions indicated above, any refunds will be made by the same method of payment used by the client, unless the client agrees to any other method. The client will provide all the necessary data to the VSJ service.
For any refund by bank transfer or credit card, a fee of 5€ will be deducted from the customer's account.
Any reservation can be cancelled without justification by our services under the following conditions:
- At least 48 hours before the service is to be provided: return of the sums received without compensation
- 24 hours before the service is due to be performed: return of the sums received and compensation due to the customer equivalent to 50% of the price of the service ordered
- Less than 24 hours before the service is due to be performed: return of the sums received and compensation due to the customer equivalent to 100% of the price of the service ordered
A modification of the service by VSJ in order to respond to the client's request will not be considered as a cancellation of the service
VSJ shall not be held responsible, or considered to have failed in its obligations, for any delay or non-performance when the cause of the delay or non-performance results from a case of force majeure as defined by the case law of the French courts. In addition and in the sense of this contract, the prevention of the Provider due to bad weather, strikes, road works, traffic density and road accidents, and all events reasonably beyond the control of VSJ, shall be considered as Force Majeure.
In case of force majeure VSJ will inform the customer as soon as possible and will make its best efforts to meet its obligations but they may be delayed or cancelled without compensation.
Applicable law - language of the contract
The present general conditions of intervention are written in French language. They are subject to French law. The fact that VSJ or the client does not take advantage at a given time of any of the clauses of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of the right to take advantage of these same clauses at a later date.

Protection of personal data
The personal data collected from the customer is necessary for the execution of the service and the establishment of the corresponding invoice.
The customer's personal data are collected via the website or directly from our services and they are likely to be subject to computer processing intended for :
- Carry out operations relating to the management of customers concerning: the realization of the services; the invoices; the accounting and in particular the management of the customer accounts
- The elaboration of commercial statistics and/or to allow the evolution of the content of our services
- Follow-up of the customer relationship and the customer's situation, the realization of satisfaction surveys, the management of complaints and possible further questions from customers
- Management of requests relating to your rights concerning the processing of your personal data
- Management of unpaid bills and litigation
- Management of people's opinions on the services offered
The personal information collected is necessary to process your requests.
The recipient of the data is the VSJ and its subcontractors for the execution of a service (cab, transport service...) This subcontractor is indicated to the customer when booking the service concerned. The duration of data conservation is limited to the time necessary for the operations for which they were collected and in compliance with the regulations. In this respect, customer data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship plus five (5) years, without prejudice to retention obligations or limitation periods.
The requirement to provide your data is purely contractual and conditions the execution of the service. The client may object, free of charge and without justification, to the processing of data concerning him. This opposition, as well as the failure to provide mandatory information (marked with a sign* in the collection form), will result in the impossibility of processing the customer's requests. The data is not subject to automated decision making and in particular to profiling. In the event of a complaint about the processing of your data, you can contact the competent supervisory authority.
